Ongoing research at the Institute for Paper Technology of the Technische Universität Darmstadt is focused on the application of image analysis for the quantification of buckling patterns. The value of precise image analysis is recognized and expected to lead to a significant enhancement in predictive assessment. However, innovative approaches and fresh perspectives are still important in this evolving field.
